Media Arts Major, Graphic Design Concentration (B.A.)

Location(s): On Campus


This major is offered through the School of Liberal Arts + Education. The Media Arts program is designed to prepare students for careers in filmmaking or graphic design. Through hands-on experience and theoretical study, students develop the creative and technical expertise needed to make a lasting impact in today’s fast-changing media landscape. The graphic design concentration includes coursework in a wide variety of media ranging from print and web design to motion graphics and 3D animation. Students, in consultation with their academic advisor, also choose electives appropriate to their educational and vocational goals.

Departmental Acceptance


Students apply for departmental acceptance during their sophomore year spring semester or their junior year fall semester. A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA is required for departmental admission in the Humanities and Social Science Department .
