PHY 225 - Physics I

Physics 1 explores the fundamental principles of classical mechanics, including the motion of objects and the forces that affect them. Topics include kinematics, Newton’s laws, work and energy, momentum, rotational dynamics, and gravitation. The course develops problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of the physical laws governing everyday phenomena.

This course plus PHY 225L  is equivalent to SCI 2471  and SCI 2472  (both must be taken).

Prerequisite: MAT 131  required. MAT 141  recommended.

Corequisite: PHY 225L
