SCI 2471 - Physics I (Part 1)

This course is the first of a two-part series that covers the first semester of college physics as defined by Crown College (PHY 225 - Physics I). Students must take both parts to get credit for PHY 225 - Physics I. This course is an introduction to the major concepts of physics. Major topics include dimensions, vectors and units, kinematics, Newton’s laws of motion, friction, work and energy, impulse and momentum, and collisions. This course may not be taken in addition to PHY 225 - Physics I.

Prerequisite: Prerequisite: MAT 131 or MAT 243 or two years of high school Algebra (including Algebra II) or a math ACT score of at least 20 or a math SAT score of at least 480.
