The course is designed to give the student an understanding of the management of operational variables and their part in the overall business strategy. The class will cover allocation of resources, inventory control, cost control, TQM, operations layout, scheduling theory and standards development. Visits to firms and various manufacturing plants will supplement text and case studies.
