This major is offered through the School of Arts & Sciences. The nursing degree provides a biblically-based nursing education for the purpose of preparing competent nursing professionals who can practice Christian caring in a variety of cultures around the world. Clinical nursing experiences are provided with the cooperation of a variety of hospitals and agencies throughout the area. Graduates of the program will be eligible to apply to take the national licensure examination (NCLEX-RN).
Please note: All prerequisite and major core classes must be completed with a grade of C+ or higher.
Students apply for departmental acceptance during their sophomore year spring semester. A minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA is required for departmental admission in the Nursing major.
Optional internships may be taken during one or more summer terms, if desired. Students should speak with their advisor if interested in this option.
