Communication Major (B.A.)

This major is offered through the School of Arts & Sciences. The program is designed to prepare students who anticipate a career in written, verbal, or relational communication and will enable students to apply critical thinking skills in the application of biblical principles to the field of communication. This flexible liberal arts degree emphasizes interpersonal relations for students who anticipate jobs in business, marketing, the social services, public relations, and other fields. Students, in consultation with their academic advisor, also choose electives appropriate to their educational and vocational goals.

A minimum of 36 credits must be at the upper (300-400) level for a bachelor degree.

Departmental Acceptance


Students apply for departmental acceptance during their sophomore year spring semester or their junior year fall semester. A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA is required for departmental admission in the Communication major.
