This major is offered through the School of Arts & Sciences. Inspired by Daniel, Esther, Nehemiah, Paul and others who ministered at the intersection of faith, culture, and power, Crown College’s International Relations major develops thoughtful and articulate professionals and international workers able to serve in today’s demanding and shifting contexts. Built on the foundation of the Christian Studies and General Education Core, International Relations prepares students to integrate Jesus-centered faith with practical and fruitful service among both the poor and the powerful among the least-reached peoples of the globe. Crown’s International Relations major also stands alone for its intentional incorporation of rigorous intercultural training, with graduates excelling in the increasingly needed skills of behavioral and cognitive frame-shifting. This major is applicable from traditional overseas roles to contemporary political settings.
Students may accentuate their major core studies by carefully selecting electives in consultation with their advisor. Areas of focus may include the following:
- Peacemaking
- The Church and Socio-Political Involvement
- Hmong Ministry
