The primary mission of the Business Department at Crown College is to prepare students to fulfill their God-given calling as a marketplace missionary (Eph 4:12). While striving to accomplish this mission, the department develops the student’s ability to creatively solve real-world problems by utilizing higher-level critical thinking skills.
A minimum of 36 credits must be at the upper (300-400) level for a bachelor degree.
* Some courses from the Christian Studies Core and Major Core can be used to fulfill requirements in the General Education Core. By doing that the number of electives needed would increase so that the minimum of 125 credits is reached.
1 Interdisciplinary courses in the major core that are cross listed as BIB or THE will fulfill this requirement. Choose Christian Ministry electives from CHM 201, CHM 211, CHM 300 or CHM 325.
2 Select humanities electives from COM, ENG, FAR, HIS, HUM, LAN, MUS, PHI, or PRC.
3 Select social science electives from ANT, CSJ, ECO, GEO, HIS, POL, PSY, or SOC.
Option: Accelerated Degree Program
Qualified students in the B.S. in Business Administration program may apply for an accelerated degree program to earn their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in an additional year instead of the typical two years. Course Requirements for MBA
Students who are accepted into the Conventional accelerated Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) will substitute the following graduate level courses into the undergraduate degree.
Students who are accepted into the accelerated Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a Non-Profit Concentration will substitute the following graduate level courses into the undergraduate degree.
Students apply for departmental acceptance during their sophomore year spring semester or their junior year fall semester. A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA is required for departmental admission in the Business Administration major.
