Applied Cultural Awareness Emphasis

This emphasis is designed to allow students of various majors to benefit from experiential education in the cross-cultural setting. Students may accomplish this in a variety of ways, including participation in certain study-abroad opportunities or through participation in Crown’s Destination Serve short-term trips. This emphasis invites students to expand their learning beyond the cross-cultural experience itself into the preparation and return phases through intentional learning and reflection. The learning facilitated in this emphasis can be useful for people planning to live and work in a variety of settings.
