Business Administration Major (B.S)

The primary mission of the Business Department at Crown College is to prepare students to fulfill their God-given calling as a marketplace missionary (Eph 4:12). While striving to accomplish this mission, the department develops the student’s ability to creatively solve real-world problems by utilizing higher-level critical thinking skills.

At least 30% of this degree, or a minimum of 38 credits, must be at the upper (300-400) level. If you choose to take lower-level Christian Studies core classes (CHM 201  or CHM 211 ), then you must take enough upper-level general electives to meet this requirement.

Optional:  Select a 9-12 credit business emphasis.

1 Select humanities electives from COM, ENG, FAR, HIS, HUM, LAN, MUS, PHI, or PRC.

2 Select social science electives from ANT, CSJ, ECO, GEO, HIS, POL, PSY, or SOC.

* Some courses from the Christian Studies Core can be used to fulfill requirements in the General Education Core. In addition, some courses required by the major can be used to fulfill requirements in the Christian Studies or General Education Cores. By doing that the number of electives needed would increase so that the minimum of 125 credits is reached.

Option: Accelerated Degree Program


Qualified students in the B.S. in Business Administration program may apply for an accelerated degree program to earn their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.)  in an additional year and a half instead of the typical two and a half years. Departmental Acceptance


Students apply for departmental acceptance during their sophomore year spring semester or their junior year fall semester. A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA and completion of half of the service credit requirements are required for departmental admission in the Business Administration major.
