The Biblical and Theological Studies Department exists to provide the biblical and theological education necessary for graduates to become Christian leaders in their chosen fields.
The majors of the Biblical and Theological Studies Department combine a strong biblical and theological foundation with a minor that serves the educational and vocational interests of the student. They may be selected as pre-seminary degrees or as preparation for graduate studies in a variety of related fields such as biblical studies, intercultural studies, missions, religion, religious education, institutional chaplaincy, and theology. The minor chosen may be any standard offering or custom designed according to the student’s special needs, interests, or vocational goals. The minor in Pastoral Leadership might be of particular interest to those who wish to engage in ministry before entering seminary.
The major in Biblical and Theological Studies blends a biblical and theological foundation with a flexibility of electives. The associate degree in Bible is designed for those who wish to increase their effectiveness in Christian lay ministry.
