This course is the first of a two-part series that covers the first semester of college biology as defined by Crown College (BIO 143 - General Biology I). Students must take both parts to get credit for BIO 143 - General Biology I.This course is an introduction to the structure and function of living systems. Major topics include basic biochemistry, cell function, respiration and photosynthesis. This course may not be taken in addition to BIO 143 - General Biology I.
