BUS 425 - Advanced Analytics and AI in Business 3 Credits SPRING
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and predictive analytics are revolutionizing the way today’s businesses compete and operate. By putting data and AI at the center of their business capabilities, companies are redefining how they create, capture, and share value. This course will explore how to apply AI to business models and operations, within the context of corporate responsibility, transformational change, fairness in algorithms, and data privacy, to equip students with a range of capabilities required by today’s data-driven business environments. Anchored in data, this course will equip students to think critically through the lens of AI to diagnose individual, team, and organizational performance, identify effective interventions and actions, and simultaneously gain deeper insight into the business issue in question. The course will provide practical examples of how to converse and perform data analytics with AI platforms and AI capabilities embedded in other tools. This course will incorporate a student-identified project to utilize real-world data and AI to solve a real-world business need.
