COU 5008 - Foundations of Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Integration of Christian Worldview

A review of the history and development of clinical mental health counseling, theories and models related to clinical mental health counseling, ethics in clinical mental health counseling, services related to clinical mental health counseling, including intervention, consultation, and advocacy, and networks that promote mental health and wellness. A Christian worldview is articulated and various models of integration of that worldview with the profession of clinical mental health counseling are examined. Appropriate and ethical integration of personal faith into counseling is emphasized.
