CRM 318X - Law & Literature 3 Credits FALL
The primary focus is to examine crime in literature, including but not limited to Steinbeck’s East of Eden, Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment, as well as various works by Poe, Shakespeare, and Flannery O’ Connor. Subthemes of this class include the impact of literacy rates on deviance and criminality in society as well as how law is portrayed inaccurately in story. (Also ENG 318X )
