Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Emphasis

This emphasis is offered through the Graduate Schools. Crown’s TEFL (Teaching English to Speakers of Foreign Languages) program is designed for students who want to learn to teach English to speakers of foreign languages, especially those students who live in majority non-native English speaking countries.  Crown’s program will not qualify students for licensure in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language).  Students who want to teach English in formal educational settings in the United States will not be able to fulfill the requirements necessary to become licensed through Crown’s program.
