Sport Management Major (B.S.)

This major is offered through the School of Arts & Sciences. The Sport Management major prepares students to serve Christ as marketplace missionaries in the field of sport management in both the private and public sectors. The degree is designed to assist students in acquiring organizational and managerial expertise in the health, fitness and sport management fields as well as to assist students in gaining an understanding of personnel management and supervisory dynamics.

Program Requirements


I. Core Curriculum - 48 Credits


III. Electives - 29 Credits


  • Electives (300-400 level) 3 Credits
  • Electives 26 Credits

A minimum of 36 credits must be at the upper (300-400) level for a bachelor degree.

Total - 125 Credits


Option: Accelerated Degree Program


Qualified students in the B.S. in Sport Management program may apply for an accelerated degree program to earn their M.A. in Sports Coaching and Administration  in an additional year instead of the typical two years. Departmental Acceptance


Students apply for departmental acceptance during their sophomore year spring semester or their junior year fall semester. A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA is required for departmental admission in the Sport Management major.
