The Master of Science in Exercise Science/Sport Performance is designed to advance knowledge and applied skills to disseminate in the field of exercise science and sport performance. By utilizing both theoretical inquiry and exploration as well as practical application, through disciplined inquiry, students will gain greater insight regarding exercise testing and prescription as they relate to working with varied populations, including healthy, clinical, and geriatric populations.
The program at Crown College provides theoretical frameworks and practical knowledge that allows the student to be market-ready upon completion of the degree. Additionally, the student will have the opportunity to intern in Sport Performance and Clinical facilities. Areas of expertise will be derived from areas that include human physiology, exercise physiology, exercise testing, applied exercise prescription, sport performance conditioning, strength and conditioning theory, biomechanics, nutrition and metabolism, as well as psychology and psychophysiology of sport and exercise. The program will prepare the student to sit for the NASCM, CSCC and the ASCM exams for certifications as required by the industry.
