Graduate School of Ministry

The Mission of the Crown College Graduate School of Ministry (GSOM) is to cultivate leaders who are biblically grounded, Spirit led, culturally intelligent, and spiritually resilient who impact the world for Christ.

Additionally, the GSOM has four Goals that are central to how we operate:

Cultivate biblically-grounded critical thinkers who can interpret complex issues and apply God’s Word for the transformation of lives and communities.
Form Spirit-led leaders who engage their ministry contexts with theological depth, Christlike character, and wise discernment.
Equip culturally-intelligent practitioners who embrace kingdom diversity with the wisdom, grace, and practical competencies to lead effectively.
Develop spiritually-resilient ministers who live missionally, embody their calling, and practice care for their physical and spiritual selves in order to flourish and to sustain faithful service over a lifetime.

We are committed to providing a Biblically based education that helps each student grow in knowledge of Christian Scriptures, embrace an identity rooted in Christ, and gain practical skills related to the student’s vocational aspirations. This means integrating theory with practice toward a holistic development of the student. To that end, professors are scholar-practitioners who make real-world applications to the ideas and concepts discussed in class.

The Graduate School of Ministry believes that learning is seldom a solo activity; learning is best experienced in community. Classes are designed to encourage lateral learning from other students. Each student has something unique to offer others, and with a humble spirit, students can learn life and ministry lessons from each other. The Graduate School of Ministry serves to guide students toward being “Boldy Christian” who learn and serve with academic excellence.
