BIO 130 - Foundations of Anatomy & Physiology 3 Credits FALL and SPRING
This one-semester course introduces the basic structure and function of the human body, designed for students not pursuing biology or health-related majors. It covers key organ systems including the skeletal, muscular, nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, and urinary systems, with an emphasis on general concepts rather than clinical detail. The course promotes scientific literacy and understanding of how the body maintains balance and responds to changes in the environment. This class will not count toward the BIO 271 - Anatomy and Physiology I and BIO 272 - Anatomy and Physiology II sequence. This course is not intended for students in the Biology Major (B.S.) , the Exercise Science Major (B.S.) , or the Nursing Major (B.S.) .
Prerequisite: BIO 130L
