HIS 450 - History Internship I

This course provides hands-on field experience in which students work 37.5 hours per credit in a supervised role with an organization aligned with their history studies, allowing them to apply and enhance historical skills in a professional setting. Through collaboration with their supervisor, students develop an internship agreement outlining goals and competencies specific to history-related work. Both the employer-supervisor and college coordinator conduct thorough evaluations to support student growth and ensure learning outcomes are met. Students may elect to enroll for variable credit, ranging from 1 to 3 credits per course. Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading.

Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Humanities/Social Science Department and consent of the instructor.
