MAT 2431 - Calculus I (Part A)

This course is the first of a two-part series that covers the first semester of college calculus as defined by Crown College (MAT 243 - Calculus I). Students must take both parts to get credit for MAT 243 - Calculus I. Following a review of limits, functions, and trigonometry, derivatives are studied in depth exploring linear, power, and implicit functions. Applications of the derivative are explored including related rates, rates of change, curve sketching, and optimization. Not to be taken in addition to MAT 243.

Prerequisite: MAT 131 or high school Pre-Calculus
