BIO 419 - Epidemiology

Epidemiology introduces the principles and methods used to study the distribution and determinants of health and disease in populations. Topics include calculation and interpretation of epidemiological data, study design, causality, application to infectious and chronic diseases, screening, application of epidemiology in public health, social determinants of health and ethics. The course emphasizes the application of epidemiological tools to promote human health.
