DEM 4518 - Principles and Practice of Hazards Mitigation
3 Credits This course explores natural and man-made hazard mitigation and its role in disaster management; structural versus non-structural actions; the role of the natural environment in mitigating natural hazards; and the role of prevention/preparedness in reducing the impacts of future terrorism events.
