BIO 318 - Pathophysiology

This course explores the mechanisms and processes underlying disease development and progression in the human body. Topics include cellular injury, inflammation, immune response, genetic disorders, fluid and electrolyte imbalances, and the pathogenesis of major diseases affecting the cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, and endocrine systems. This course provides a foundation for understanding how normal physiological functions are altered in disease states to inform clinical practice.

Prerequisite: BIO 271 and BIO 271L
