EXS 322 - Sport Safety and Injury Prevention

This course provides a foundational understanding of injury prevention and care for athletes. Students will explore the essential components of a sports medicine system and learn to identify common orthopedic and general medical conditions associated with athletic participation. Topics include emergency first aid, principles of training and nutrition, safety protocols, injury assessment, and treatment rationale for sport-related injuries. Emphasis is placed on promoting athlete safety and well-being through evidence-based practices.
