An introductory survey of film offers students the opportunity to explore the art and cultural significance of cinema from a Christian perspective. Attention to technical elements, historic developments, significant examples, and prominent contributors are included. In addition to fostering general knowledge of film, the course will also foster critical reflection from a Christian perspective on the use, message, and formative aspects of various works, eras, and philosophies.
