SCI 413 - Applied Sport Nutrition 3 Credits FALL
This course allows the student to become familiar with the current trends in sport nutrition to differentiate between quackery and evidenced-based nutrition. This course will develop critical thinking specific to sport nutrition, as well as a deeper understanding of the basis of which Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs) are utilized and tested. The student will understand the governing bodies which regulate the rules specific to PEDs, such as the World Anti-Doping Association (WADA), the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), NCAA and state associations, such as the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL).
